Still, a little disappointing

Though the fun, durability and educational value of this product are
all very good or better, I did want to emphasize one thing for potential
purchasers of this product. When I received this item from Amazon
(intended as a gift for a friend's four-year-old daughter), I was pretty
disappointed that there were NO cans of blue but TWO cans of hot pink
Play Doh in the set.
The Amazon description DOES include a disclaimer for the potential variation of colors in the set, so I'm absolutely not faulting them for not alerting consumers to this deficiency. It's just that, well, I didn't think that it would happen to me (who ever does?), so please DO be aware that they issue this disclaimer for good reason. It's not the end of the world, and I'm sure that the recipient won't think twice about the absence of blue Play Doh in her new, "ten-color" set (such as it is!), but it keeps me from being 100% satisfied with the product.
While I'm at it, I should also add that these are NOT full-size cans of Play Doh - they appear to be approximately half the size of the cans in regular sets. I did not see that information anywhere in the Amazon description (it might be there, but if it is, it wasn't in a conspicuous place), and it's a point worth mentioning somewhere. If you think that you're getting a good deal by getting 10 full-size cans for eight bucks, you are getting nothing of the sort. Better Play Doh values can be found elsewhere on the site, so you might want to keep looking for them if, like me, you're generally the type who likes to get her money's worth.
A good starting point - not too expensive!

They are so good to keep the
kids occupied and encourage their imagination. This particular pack
comes in 10 colors and size of each can is neither too big nor too
small. May its a good starting point to try and see if your kids love
playing with the stuff.
Since Play-doh comes in so many different packaging, I did a quick comparison based on current prices as of 01/09/2014. The results are sorted by price/ounce in increasing order. Of course, the prices may vary so I would recommend doing a sanity check before you make decision.

Play-doh really is fun for all

There is nothing that will ever measure up to the amazing potential of
Play-Doh, at least not for the affordable price that Play-Doh is
available for. For less than $2 you can purchase four full sized pots of
Play-Doh in a variety of colors; else you can spend a little more and
purchase this Party Pack and get a variety of ten different colors for
the equally affordable price of $2.99.
The affordability of Play-Doh is not the only plus to the famous modeling clay, I absolutely adore the clay for it's educational factors as well. Between the physical actions involved in molding Play-Doh which allows younger children to exercise small hand muscles and increase development, to the social interaction involved in Play-Doh dates and parties. There are many things that allow children to develop whilst playing with the clay.
Another plus to Play-Doh clay is the color education factor. Children can create their own colors by molding together two or even three various colors of clay and consequently learn all about color mixing and development. The unfortunate factor to this is that once the clay colors are mixed it is impossible to pull out the original colors from the clay; however, this does teach children about permanence of actions which is not always a bad thing.
In a nutshell the only drawbacks I have with Play-Doh is that it does not last when left out of the can and it is not waterproof, both of this things are simply the nature of the beast and come with the makeup of the clay itself.
